This is a very cool, unique plugin. I definitley reach for it when working on my ambient music projects to keep it interesting.

Innovative and inspiring. Easy to understand and capable of creating amazing instruments from the most basic samples.

I'm always going after plugins that don't do everything but do ONE thing very well, in a unique way. This plugin is super interesting. It's a fascinating middle ground between being a sampler and a synthesizer. It doesn't sound like anything else. It can be a little unintuitive how to use it properly and I'm not a huge fan of the UX, but it's the sound that matters right?

Thank you Steven! Sounds like you've probably got a pretty kickass selection of weird plugins. Would love to hear how we could improve the UX and make Anima more intuitive to use. Would you be up for sending me some notes to lex@sequins.music?
A beautiful and inspiring instrument that I bought rather randomly on Christmas Eve after catching Lex’s livestream and liking his vibe. I’m loving it. It’s really easy to use, very musical and creative with modulation and mpe use and has you immersed in evolving sound from the get go. That’s probably my favourite element, the fact that it’s ‘listen led’ sound-design rather than ‘decide-program’ sound-design. It’s a proper instrument as well a capable tool.

"Listen-led" sound design is an absolutely killer line Richard. Thank you so much for the kind words and I'm thrilled you're enjoying Anima as much as I am :)
It's my go-to for sound design ever since I installed it and started nonstop creating.

Cheers Big Dave! So happy you've been creating nonstop :)

Gotta be real and say that when I saw 'made with AI in 5 days' I expected Anima to be mad janky. It's not. It's polished as fuck. Works so well with my Roli Seaboard Rise and the guy legit shipped a feature I requested (transient snapping) via email THE NEXT DAY. This is how software should be made. Cheers!
— Theo Marsh
Sequins replied:
Thanks for your honesty Theo (and the fabulous idea for transient snapping). I miss my Seaboard Rise! I'll bet Anima feels amazing on those delicious rubbery keys.

I've tried granular synths, wavetable stuff, Ableton's Corpus - always felt like fighting the tool when trying to create lively organic synth patches. Anima just works the way my brain expects. Load a sample, play it musically, get something beautiful. No 90-minute YouTube tutorial required (though I did literally enjoy TÂCHES's 90-minute YouTube tutorial).

I have a folder of field recordings I've never used because they just sat there being... recordings. Loaded a sample of frying bacon (don't ask) into Anima, and within 60 seconds I had a playable instrument that sounds like something from a Nils Frahm record. This plugin is magic.

Sequins replied:
Hahahah this really made me giggle. Bacon... it's good eating and it's good sampling. Stoked you're enjoying Anima, Josh :)
