Anima

Getting Started

Anima is a resonant filter instrument. It runs audio through eight tuned harmonic filters. When you play a MIDI note, those filters tune to harmonic intervals of that note's frequency, extracting pitched content from unpitched material.

Quick Start

  1. Load Anima on a MIDI track in your DAW
  2. Drag a sample onto the waveform display (or use the built-in capture to record audio)
  3. Play a MIDI note
  4. Adjust DRY/WET to blend between the original sample and the resonant output
  5. Adjust RING to control how long the harmonics sustain
  6. Adjust LIFE to add random modulation to harmonic frequencies
