Finding Your License Key

Your license key was emailed to you after purchase. It looks like:

XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Can't find it? Check your spam folder or contact support.

Activating Anima

Load Anima in your DAW
The license activation window appears automatically
Enter your license key
Click "Activate"
Anima verifies your license online and unlocks

Tip:

You only need internet access during activation. After that, Anima works offline.

Activation Limits

Your license allows activation on up to 2 computers at a time. This covers your studio machine and a laptop, for example.

Anima licenses are not platform-locked - the same key works on both macOS and Windows.

Moving to a New Computer

If you need to deactivate Anima on one computer to use it on another:

Open Anima and click the license area
Click "Deactivate"
On the new computer, activate with the same license key

If you no longer have access to the old computer, contact support to reset your activations.

Grace Period

If you're offline or there's a server issue, Anima continues working for a limited grace period. Once you're back online, verification happens automatically.

License Issues

"License already activated on maximum devices":

Deactivate on another computer, or contact support to reset

"Invalid license key":

Check for typos (the key is case-insensitive, but the dashes are required)
Make sure you're using the key for Anima, not another Sequins product

"Unable to connect to license server":

Check your internet connection
Make sure your firewall allows outbound HTTPS connections
Try again in a few minutes
Contact support if it persists

Click the license area and then "Send Feedback" to report issues or suggestions. Your system info can be included automatically to help diagnose problems.
